About FOX IV Technologies, Inc.

pix01.gifFOX IV Technologies, Inc. was started by Rick Fox over 25 years ago as a business unit within Matthews International Corporation (MATW). The business began by producing bar code film masters for the printing industry and soon expanded into automated labeling equipment and label converting. Rick Fox purchased the business from Matthews in 1996.

FOX IV Technologies, Inc. focuses on four core strengths:

I - Design and manufacture rugged label printer applicators based on the broadest range of printers in the world. FOX IV has developed printer applicators that incorporate Printronix, Monarch, Zebra - both their tabletop and OEM modules, Intermec, Datamax - tabletop and OEM modules, Avery Dennison, and Sato printers. FOX IV printer applicators are designed to operate 24/7 in all types of environments.
Our machines are used to automatically apply bar codes, RFID labels, shipping labels and packing slips from pallets and cartons to coils of steel and engine blocks. These systems are installed all over the globe. From steel mills in Indiana to copper mines in Chile to food processing plants in Australia and solar panel manufacturing in Malaysia, we have installed systems in warehouses and distribution centers and in some of the most hostile manufacturing environments in the world.

II - Provide turnkey integration solutions for demanding industrial environments. FOX IV has developed solutions for extremely harsh applications such as steel mills and washdown environments. It has developed the software to integrate automated labeling systems into legacy and commercial warehouse management and ERP systems. FOX IV has developed systems for bar code, RFID, LCB, and UL compliance and complete automated packing slip systems.

III - Produce labels. Our label division has seven flexographic printing presses that can print up to 8-color primary and secondary labels. We provide both tag and pressure sensitive labels in sheet, fanfold or roll form. Our on-press vision system, primarily for labels used in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, can provide 100% inspection of the entire label. We keep our label prices low by continuously implementing lean manufacturing techniques. We have label inventory management programs. We have a person dedicated to working with our customers to redesign their labels or source and test alternative label material to reduce their costs. In addition, you are buying directly from a label converter - not a broker.

IV - Keep our equipment operating by providing 24/7 technical support, service, rapid parts shipment, and training programs to our customers and distributors worldwide. FOX IV trainers are PMMI Certified. In addition to 24/7 phone support, FOX IV can provide Internet based access and technical support for our systems.
FOX IV Technologies has a number of firsts. FOX IV developed an automatic labeling system - for which they received a patent - for printing and automatically applying confidential packing slip labels to cartons and pallets.

FOX IV introduced the world's first "Repeater" applicator system in 1996, allowing customers to print and apply two labels to the adjacent sides of a corrugated box - significantly reducing supply costs over a corner wraparound labeler.

FOX IV introduced the world's first HF (13.56 MHz) RFID label printer applicator in 2001 and was the first print-and-apply company to pass the EPCglobal's certification for Class 1and Class 0 tags in August 2004. FOX IV has the largest installed base of EPC RFID label printer applicators in the world. FOX IV actively participates in global bar code standards. Our president is a member of the GS1 global U.P.C. bar code standards committee and also a member of the AIDC 100. FOX IV was recognized in the book "RFID for Dummies" as one of the top 12 companies nationally for expertise in implementing RFID systems.
