Basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) is a proven critical part of the overall performance and reliability of Label Printer Applicators as well as tabletop thermal and thermal transfer printing equipment.

A PM program should be part of the daily, weekly, and quarterly scheduling in a plant's Maintenance Department. It is recommended that the quarterly PM be performed by the original equipment manufacturer or trained certified service provider. The daily and weekly maintenance can be performed by the plant's production and maintenance personnel.

The following chart is a basic guideline for PM scheduling.

Clean rods with dry cloth and lubricate with lithium type soap based no. 2 grease using ball - cup fitting on the cylinder.

Check or adjust dynamic brake tension.

Check or replace dancer spring

Ref. manual - check that spring moves freely up and down.
Check that spring is not weak or stretched.

Check or adjust core cutters

Ref. manual - be sure cutter cuts into corrugated label roll cores installed.

Check label backing rewind motor assembly belts, gears and speed control setting.

Check and adjust the PH alignment, heat, print speed, print head pressure.

The Model 2010 BASIC Mini is designed as a global low-cost solution for companies requiring a label printer applicator that is simple to operate and maintain.

The BASIC Mini has the smallest footprint in the world - 18" high x 13.6" deep x 18" wide. Select either an 8" or 14" application cylinder to print and apply label sizes from 1" x 1" to 4.25" x 6".

Operators will find changing label and ribbon supplies easy by following the label and ribbon paths screen-printed directly on the centerwall - no threading diagram to try to decipher. Our easy-access cover and modular components make service and repair a snap, and one rugged, pressurized industrial housing contains the entire package.

Menu prompts and messages are available in five languages - English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. With the optional international language print capability (ILPC), it is also possible to print Japanese Kanji, Korean Hangul, or simplified Chinese characters.
