For those customers wanting local service support, we have a nationwide network of certified technicians. Depending on your location, this local support can be provided by a FOX IV-certified third-party service provider, a FOX IV-certified distributor, or a FOX IV service technician. FOX IV offers a number of local service programs from on-call service to annual service agreements.
Another option is to maintain the equipment using your own maintenance personnel. FOX IV equipment is designed with ease of service and repair in mind. This is supported by the fact that more than 80% of our customers elect to service our equipment themselves. For label printer applicators operating in far-flung places like a copper mine in Chile, an aluminum smelter in Iceland, a steel mill in Russia, solar panel manufacturing plants in Malaysia and a gold mine in the middle of Nevada, local service is just not readily available.
Many customers prefer to save the cost and time associated with an external service provider. Maintaining the equipment themselves reduces downtime, especially those running 24/7 operations. We have training programs available for either on-site at our customer's facility or at our headquarters just outside Pittsburgh, PA. Some of our customers have not requested a service call since we installed the equipment, and in some installations that can be over 10 years.
