Printing and applying labels as large as a sheet of Legal Size paper has long been a challenge to the labeling industry. FOX IV meets it head on with the 5422 Standard Label Printer Applicator.
Designed for 24/7 operation in the most demanding environments, the 5422 features Zebra 220 Xi4 printer components mounted to utilizes to a rugged industrial centerwall utilizing FOX IV's exclusive Uniwall design. Screen-printed label and ribbon paths and user-friendly keypad and menus make the Model 5422 easy to operate and maintain.
The 5422 print and apply system boasts print speeds to 10 ips, print widths from 4.0" to 8.5", label lengths to 14" and print resolutions of 203 dpi or 300 dpi. The Model 5422 comes standard with a 12" OD label supply roll and supports several linear and 2-D bar codes including Code 39, Datamatrix, PDF417, UCC/EAN Code 128 and UPC/EAN.
The Zebra-based 5422 system supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing technologies. Communication interfaces include RS232/422 and Ethernet. Wireless Ethernet is available as an option.
A wide variety of print options highlight a list of features including a 32 bit 133 MHz RISC print processor for faster throughput and processing, 16 MB SDRAM memory for printing longer label formats, up to 256 MB of CompactFlash® memory for added label format and font storage and 4 MB of non-volatile Flash memory.
