Print, Cut, and Insert Packing Slips and Messages into Open Top Shipping Containers

The 6900I Printer/Inserters print the packing slip information onto thin tag stock, cut the stock, and accurately insert the packing list into an open-top shipping container using a vacuum cylinder assembly.
This process replaces the traditional process of printing a full size packing list, folding it, and placing it inside an adhesive backed plastic envelope with the added benefit of being more environmentally friendly.

Because of its thoughtful design, a 6900I Printer/Inserter eliminates any backing material that would be thrown away by printing packing slips onto label material, eliminates full size paper pages, reduces or eliminates labor costs and equipment for folding and stuffing, as well as removing the flimsy plastic envelope and its backing paper from the waste stream.  You also use less material since there are no label gaps for sensing which provides added cost savings.  Additionally, the printing length can be adjusted, within limits, to the length of the items printed; thereby, using the tag stock as efficiently as possible.

In addition to packing slips, the 6900I Printer Inserter can also be used for gift messages, return instructions, or other messages and information for the end user.

The 6900I series Inserters feature an Allen-Bradley PLC for easy interfacing and control, a precise guillotine cutter, a large 14″ OD tag stock roll capacity for extended production, and your choice of either a SATO or Zebra print engine  – all within FOX IV’s durable, industrial design.  Packing slips up to 6″ wide x 12″ long can be printed and inserted and equipment can be run 24/7.  FOX IV’s 6900I Printer/Inserters can be placed into existing production lines prior to the case sealer/taper or closing system.
