Recently, FOX IV Technologies VP of Technology, Patty Remo, completed the Level 1 Certification on Fanuc Handling Tool Operations and Programming. Completion of the course required learning many aspects of robot operation and control as well as a thorough understanding of Fanuc’s programming tools.
“FOX IV regularly works with robotic system integrators to incorporate our labeling equipment into robotic packaging and palletizing cells,” according to Ms. Remo. “By completing the Fanuc certification, FOX IV will be in a better position to understand robotic system integrator’s needs in communicating with our automated labeling and packing slip systems.”
Coursework included:
- Basic robot operation
- Operations, debugging, testing, and writing code using Fanuc’s Teach Pendant Tablet
- Recovery procedures for common faults
- Monitoring, forcing, and simulation of input and output signals
“After each coursework section, we (the attendees) would be hands-on at a robot,” she explained. “The hands-on task would directly relate to the coursework so that we could get experience in programming and problem solving.” Additionally, Ms. Remo had to pass a written test and a final programming task to complete the certification.
With the Fanuc Certification achieved, Ms. Remo has an added understanding of our integrators requirements and is better prepared to assist with robotic system integrations of FOX IV equipment.
